Learn how to make your own homeopathic remedies and enter to win a cheesemaking kit! Homegrown Collective Box review and giveaway!
I was so excited to recieve this box from the Homegrown Collective. The theme of this particular month’s box was homeopathic remedies – something I’ve been trying to learn more about lately. This box contained most of the ingredients to make several different tinctures and essential oils, as well as instructions to make homemade cough syrup. Also included (as you can see in the picture above) were bottles to contain all the remedies once they’re mixed – and even a live aloe vera plant!
I didn’t have any rum handy to make the tinctures with the dried herbs, and it’s not planting season yet, but I did have the olive oil to make the cinnamon and oregano essential oils. It was really simple!
The only difficult thing was getting the lids off the tiny vials of pure essential oil. This has to be done very carefully – because, seriously, oregano oil *burns.* I made the mistake of taking the lid off with my teeth, and the corner of my mouth felt like I’d eaten a batch of hot wings for the rest of the day. Use caution!
Each box from the Homegrown Collective contains seasonal products to promote natural, self-sufficient, sustainable living. Past boxes have contained everything from water kefir grains to heirloom seeds to mushroom-growing kits.
To help promote natural living, Homegrown Collective is offering one winner a DIY Cheesemaking kit, which was featured in their December box!
