If you want a home free of harsh chemicals, but want something a little stronger than vinegar, Babyganics All-Purpose Cleaner might be perfect for you!
Don’t get me wrong – I love my homemade cleaners, but when Babyganics offered me the chance to review their new all-purpose cleaner, I quickly accepted. In just the last few weeks, I’ve heard several mommy-friends complaining about the smell of vinegar in cleaning, and how they hate it. I always tell them it’s awesome if you add tea tree oil or lavender, but only the most determined of green moms are willing to hang in there when they hate a smell (especially the pregos)! It’s always nice to have another safe, non toxic option when you’re just trying to survive first trimester nausea!
I had a chance to use it right away (well, I mean, really - I have two young children. I can *always* stand to do some cleaning!). I cleaned the bathroom with it, and it worked great on every surface – even gave me streak-free mirrors! Until the peanut butter smears an hour later, I mean.
Then, my kids decided to ramp up the testing. K ate a bunch of berries, and for the first time in her history of berry-eating decided to smear them all over her white high chair. Then, as Baby A was chilling in his Bumbo he decided to have a massive blowout of the kind that requires a diaper change, an outfit change, a bath, and a good Bumbo scrub-out.
The scent reminds me a bit of children’s orange cough medicine – it’s citrusy, and sweet. Not exactly my favorite type of scent, but I’m not big on citrus. The grime-cutting was impressive. I wasn’t able to get to cleaning Baby A’s Bumbo until after the mess had dried on…blergh…but it all cleaned up easily with the Babyganics all-purpose cleaner.
This product works great, and it’s something I’m comfortable having within reach of my kids (which is really saying something for a mom who’s household cleaners and personal care alike are mostly different combinations of vinegar and baking soda).
